Coaching Clinics

Dear Coach;

Thank-You to all those who found the time to come out last Tuesday.   I hope there was some value there for you. We have our next session planned:

COACHES HELPING COACHES

 Next Ice Session – Monday December 15th    7:00 pm

 This should be a great specialty session. Who out there knows how to coach a goaltender?

(Dec. 15 is a SPECIALTY WORKSHOP, not clinic, these on ice sessions are all volunteer and not credited or sanctioned in any way by BC Hockey or Hockey Canada)

I have been trying to get better at this for years and it is not easy to talk the talk when you haven’t played the position. Alex Even the Bulldogs and Skills Academy goaltending coach will be conducting a Goaltender session for our Minor Hockey Association on the 15th and Alex has generously greed to let us come on the ice and participate! There will be goalies from novice through midget ages, so there should be something for everyone. Make it interactive by being a shooter or just come out and listen in to the instruction.

FlexxCOACH  LICENCES STILL AVAILABLE!

Why not take advantage of this great resource!? Lot of great drill ideas suited to your age group and skill level. Again, Thank-You to our executive members for supporting this tool to help make your job easier. FlexxCOACH is a great resource that will make putting together a practice plan quick and easy. Yes, the initial set up will take a little of your time, but after that you will be happy you got it done because the rest of the season’s practice plans will be a breeze! There are lots of great drill ideas to help make your athletes and your team more competitive. Go to;

 https://www.flexxcoach.com/  –  Use association code ‘1415bulldogs’ to set up your new account.

***Flexxcoach licences not being utilized, we need more on board!***

If you need any help, I can be reached at rickschievink@hotmail.com or 250.731.6258

FYI:

Ice booked, workshops subject to interest – Wed. Jan. 13, 7 pm & Tues. Feb. 17, 7 pm

Thank-You for Coaching!
