The Junior Prep Camp sponsored tuitions at the AVMHA PeeWee and Midget Tournaments in the fall.  As a result the following AVMHA players will be attending camp this summer.

You need to contact Rob Cole to make sure they have hockey ID number from our association.

You can sign up the day of but you should try to let Rob know you are coming.

1) Open the coach hybrid pre-task: NCCP-Coach-Stream-Pre-Task-Workbook

2) Print (8 pages) and complete the coach hybrid pre-task

3) Bring your completed coach hybrid pre-task to your coach hybrid clinic

4) Don’t forget to bring your skates, gloves, helmet, stick and tracksuit!

There will be an on-ice session required to pass the coach hybrid clinic.

Referee Clinics

AVMHA is holding the following Referee Clinics:

Level 1 (ages 12-15) Monday Nov 7, 5:30-9:30 pm at the Echo Fieldhouse.  You can now register online

Ref Clinic Ice will be Mon. Nov. 14, 5:45-6:45.

Level 2 & 3 (ages 16+) Sunday Oct. 23, 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Echo Fieldhouse.

All Levels must complete online module (and provide proof) upon arrival at the clinic.

Coaching (NCCP), officiating (HCOP) and safety (HCSP) clinic registration is completed online by way of the Hockey Canada E-Learning. Delegates create an E-learning account, then register for their desired clinic. E-learning accounts are a one-time setup and will recognize each member only by their email address (note: family members will need to use separate email accounts). More information is available below in the Online Clinic Registration Instructions and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
NEW for the 2011-2012 season.  All officials MUST complete the Online Pre-Task and bring their certificate to the clinic.  If you do not have your certificate you will not be allowed entrance into the clinic.  Your completion of the Pre-task is automatically recorded on your Hockey Canada profile for reference. You should register for your clinic first then you can use your EHockey username and password to login to the Pre-Task.  Click on “Start Course” and select the appropriate pre-task.  The course does not need to be done all at once; but must be completed before the start of the clinic.
REMINDER:  Completion of the Online Pre-Task does not mean you are registered for the clinic you still need to complete the online registration to attend the clinic.
Note: Users will need to create a their own separate Elearning accounts using a different email address for the username than what any other family members may have used.  If a separate Elearning account is not made the person attempting to complete the Pre Task will not be able to generate their own certificate.  New Elearning accounts can be made by using this link https://dev.hockeycanada.ca/AccountLogin.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fCCProcessing%2 and then select “Register” and complete all steps to create the Elearning account.

U14 Female High Performance Training Camp

The U14 High Performance Training Camp coming up quickly to be held in Oceanside on August 27 & 28.  Female players born in 1998, 1999 and 2000 are eligible to attend the camps.

 

The following is the proposed schedule:

Saturday, August 27th:

  • 9:00 am – Staff Meeting
  • 10:00 – 10:30 am – Registration
  • 10:30 – 11:00 am – General Group & Introduction
  • 11:00 – 12:00 pm – Prepare for fitness testing
  • 12:00 – 1:30 pm – Group #1 Drills Session #1
  • 12:00 – 1:00 pm – Group #2 Fitness Testing
  • 1:45 – 3:15 pm – Group #2 Drills Session #1
  • 2:00 – 3:15 pm – Group #1 Fitness Testing
  • 6:00 – 7:30 pm – Group #1 Drills Session #2
  • 7:30 – 9:00 pm – Group #2 Drills Session #2

Sunday, August 28th:

  • 8:30 – 9:30 am – Goaltender Drill Session
  • 9:30 – 11:30 am – Evaluation Game
  • 12:00 – 12:30 pm – Wrap up presentation
  • 12:30 – 1:30 pm – Exit Interviews

  • NOTE:    There will be NO VIAHA Peewee A Regional tryouts on that weekend so you do not have to worry about conflicts.  Peewee A female regional tryouts will be held starting the weekend of Sept 10/11.

If you know of any other Peewee age female players who might be interested in playing on a female regional A team, please make sure to pass on this information.

Pre-Season Hitting Clinic

.

Any child wanting to play competitive (Rep) Hockey A or B Team  must take part in a Hitting Clinic.   (A player only needs to participate in one hitting clinic in their minor hockey lifetime).

The Hitting Clinic is for Peewee-Bantam-Midget players.

AVMHA will be hosting a Hitting Clinic on August 29, 2011 starting at 5:15 PM at the Multi-Plex Arena

Players need to be ready to be on the ice at 5:15 PM

There is no cost to the kids.

The Junior Prep Hockey Camp is exclusive to Rep level players and delivers world class instruction by Junior A, Junior B, and Canadian College coaches hoping to recruit players directly from camp.

Our Female Camp is highlighted this year by Ryan Walter (former Vancouver Canucks Assistant Coach, current Canadian Women’s National Team Head Coach, and Leadership Speaker). Ryan will work on ice and run leadership seminars with both the girls and boys groups.

We are also please to announce that Portland Winterhawks GM and Head Coach Mike Johnson has also confirmed he will be participating in this years camp.

Our Referee Camp is integrated into our hockey camp, led by NHL & Junior Officiating Managers including Bob Hall (BC Hockey Hall of Fame), and is open to all young officials over the age of 13 interested in pursuing a career in hockey officiating.

Our intense off-ice conditioning program is second to none. We push players to their limits while educating them on the benefits of hockey specific training, strength and conditioning, and yoga.
